Reading your Blueair Aware
The Blueair Aware air quality sensors provide readings of ultrafine particulate matter (PM2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) temperature and humidity. Aware also converts VOC readings into a CO2 equivalent which gives an indication of the CO2 level in the room. Please note that this approximation is most accurate in rooms dominated by human presence and relatively chemically stable, such as bed rooms and meeting rooms.
After installation, the Aware sensors adjusts and recalibrates to the room. Expect fully optimized readings after approximately 1-2 weeks. Keep your Aware connected to Wi-Fi and power during this initial learning period.
Interpret the Aware LED bar indications
At a glance on the LED bar, you can see the quality of the air in the room. When the light shines blue, the air you breathe is good. When the light turns orange, the air quality is gradually getting worse. The LED light has six different states with corresponding air quality indications:
- Full blue = Excellent air quality.
- 2/3 blue = Good air quality.
- 1/3 blue= Moderate air quality.
- 1/3 orange= Slightly polluted air.
- 2/3 orange= Polluted air. Actions to increase air quality are recommended.
- Full orange= Highly polluted air. Actions to improve the air quality are necessary.
The VOC, PM2.5 and CO2 equivalent all have individualized thresholds for the six different segments from Excellent to Highly polluted. The least good value will generate the color on the LED bar.
Read Aware data in the Blueair Friend app
After Adding your Aware to your Blueair Friend app, you can access detailed Aware readings remotely. You are provided with the most recent updated air quality values in absolute numbers, as well as historical graphs of air quality data from the last day, week and month.
The current value is indicated in the large ring and updated in real time. Scroll down to see the historical graphs.
